Excursions! and wrapping up the season

We live a a resort destination. There are awesome things to do. Here are some photos of the awesome things we are able to do because of our job.

 Temsco Flightseeing:

Ryan (a pretty great bloke we've found) and Amanda were able to get on a helicopter and fly over the Juneau Ice Field and land on the Mendenhall Glacier!

Salmon Bake

Amanda, Ryan and Caitlyn went to the Salmon Bake, a lovely buffet with amazing scenery around.

Riding the Tram

Mt. Roberts Tram takes you above the city to some amazing views, we've done this a few times

Whale watching Evening Quest

Ryan and Caitlyn went out on a catamaran through the inside passage, saw whales, seals, and ate excellent food.

Ziplining

Jilian and Caitlyn ziplined over the Treadwell mine ruins. 9 ziplines and 2 suspension bridges, often more than 180 feet off the ground.

Taku Lodge

Caitlyn went Flightseeing with another Co worker named Jeff (great guy, acts like he's my father). We flew in a sea planes to a lodge near the Taku glacier and flew over the Taku Icefield, which is insanely impressive.

Float trip

Amanda and Caitlyn did the "float trip" at the end of the season. It was delightful, and nice to see the city from an entirely different way. We were very excited, as you can tell:

Other adventures, wrapping up the season:

One night Amanda and Caitlyn got all gussied up for a Wild West night at the Red Dog Saloon:

Caitlyn went Ziplineing again with Kendra (I'm the red dot about one third from the top)

Good ol Glacier Gardens, a place we went to many times a week:

Bears at the Glacier (taken with no zoom)

Plus many hikes, laughs with our co-workers, terribly embarrassing company parties, nights at bars, camp-outs with co-workers, drives to the end of the road, bonfires, the salmon hatchery, mine tours, dog sledding, museum going, silent dance parties, sleeping in buses, great crab, halibut and salmon, happy visitors, and many other amazing adventures. Alaska was great to us. But we had to say goodbye. So long for now, Juneau!
